Membership with Michigan Founders Fund
Members of Michigan Founders Fund (MFF) are startup founders who are both committed to the growth of their own startups, but also to helping to make Michigan the most successful, inclusive, and purpose-driven startup community in the country.
How is MFF different from other entrepreneurial organizations?
MFF is neither an investor nor a service provider. Our founders are driven by community and connection between one another. They are fiercely committed to Michigan and dedicated to fostering a healthier and more prosperous Michigan for all.
As a founder-driven and founder-focused organization, we’re serious about inclusivity, lifting one another up, mentoring the next generation of entrepreneurs, and investing in the future of Michigan.
Who can become a member? How do I join?
Michigan-based founders who are leading high-growth startups that are actively scaling, revenue-generating, and/or fundraising. Members must also have a commitment to giving back to their local communities.
Our waitlist for new members is currently closed for the year as we remodel our approach to founder engagement. We’ve seen a very high interest in membership which reflects the strength of Michigan’s growing startup community.
We’re committed to fostering a truly valuable and impactful membership experience, so we’re intentional about member cultivation. In 2026, we are piloting a new approach to membership that aligns with founder feedback and best supports the needs of high-growth founders in Michigan. We look forward to sharing more after this year’s new member pilot!
Can I participate in MFF activities if I’m not a member?
MFF runs many activities that extend beyond existing membership. This includes fully-public events such as Michigan Tech Week, invite-only founder and funder events and networking, and application-based programming such as our pre-accelerator program. Please follow us on LinkedIn and our newsletter to stay up-to-date on engagement opportunities.

Trailblazer Members
In our founding years, MFF also recognized Community Trailblazers – founders of nonprofits or community-based organizations – who are working to advance our issue areas. Thank you to our Trailblazer Members for contributing to the broader ecosystem of Michigan!
